April, bekannt, dass sie eine Hotline für alle eingerichtet hat, die einen Ausländer melden möchten, der verdächtige Aktivitäten ausübt, oder die den rechtlichen Status eines Ausländers in Indonesien überprüfen möchten. “Dieser Hotlinedienst, der sich auf die Überwachung und Durchsetzung von Einwanderungsbestimmungen konzentriert, dient als Instrument für die indonesische Öffentlichkeit, um ihre Besorgnis über Ausländer im Land zu äußern, die möglicherweise gegen die Einwanderungsbestimmungen verstoßen haben”.
Godam erläuterte später, dass die indonesische Öffentlichkeit relevante Details liefern muss, nämlich den Ort, an dem das Vergehen stattgefunden haben könnte, unterstützende Fotos und Beweise sowie den zeitlichen Ablauf des fraglichen Vergehens. Als Ordnungswidrigkeiten gelten u.a. die Überschreitung der Aufenthaltsdauer, Unstimmigkeiten über den Zweck des Aufenthalts von Ausländern im Land und mögliche kriminelle Handlungen.
